Biographical Sketch
- Gerry Elman heads the firm of Elman & Associates, in Media, PA. He practices intellectual property and Internet business law, and is a registered Patent Attorney. A pioneer in the use of online communications, he has taught a graduate course in Intellectual Property Management via the University of Phoenix Online Campus, and he is an online host (SysOp) in the Ideas, Inventions & Innovations Forum on CompuServe Interactive. He is a member of the Global CyberLaw Network and is on the advisory boards of The Licensing Journal and the Santa Clara Computer and High Technology Law Journal. He has served as a Deputy Attorney General of Pennsylvania and as a trial attorney with the federal Antitrust Division. In 1982 he founded the legal journal Biotechnology Law Report and since then has been its editor-in-chief. Gerry earned a B.S. from the University of Chicago, an M.S. from Stanford, and a J.D. from the Columbia University School of Law.
